The very first Jean Monnet Chair in EU law in Ukraine pursues objective of introduction of new teaching activities in EU law at postgraduate level and supervision of research at doctorate level at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. Jean Monnet Chair in EU law serves as an academic and educational centre and resource hub in EU law and European Studies in Ukraine

The objective of the Jean Monnet School in European Studies is to offer public lectures on most contemporary issues of EU-Ukraine relations and EU Law by leading Ukrainian and international academics and experts.

This project is called to fill in a gap in promoting EU interdisciplinary and Europeanisation studies in Ukraine. The project builds on achievements of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence, Jean Monnet Chair and the Graduate School at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.

Founded in 2006 NGO “Ukrainian European Studies Association” is all national non-profit organisation which unites experts, academics, teachers and NGO leaders in field of European Studies in Ukraine and hosts the Ukrainian Jean Monnet Network.

The project envisages the development of course materials on research methodology and best practices in EU Studies, web resources and research publications which were unavailable to Ukrainian academic community before. The course materials and other deliverables will be produced in line with best European practices with emphasis on interdisciplinary approach.
